Maths and Physics tutor

On weekends, I teach K10-12, HSC, IGCSE and A-level Maths and Physics. I also have intensive courses for pupils to pursue their dream of getting into top private schools in the UK, such as Eton, Harrow, Westminster and Winchester. I am teaching in English, but able to communicate well with students in French, Russian and my native Vietnamese.

We are a group of tutors (maths, physics, chemistry, biology, literature, computer science, finance and economics). We all have doctoral degrees in related fields and currently working at the world's top universities or research institutions and are all passionate about teaching.

All 100% of our students get higher than their targeted scores, and many successfully get into and thrive the world's top 10 universities, such as Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, Harvard, MIT, etc., with full scholarships. To ensure such quality, we have incredibly rigorous intake processes (interviews and exams) for both students and parents.

For my physics course, here are some books that my lectures are based on:

Science for kids

I love teaching, so sometimes I give lectures to kids (middle to high school students) about general science. Here are examples of my talks (in Vietnamese) to students at several conferences, which were organized by (left to right, or top to bottom if scrolling on a mobile phone): the British Council, the Vietnam central committee of the youth union,  and global young Vietnamese scholars association.

Left to right topics: Are you a climate action hero?, Fundamental of sustainability, Fundamental of climate change.

Career guide podcast for students

I have a few channels to podcasting experience guiding career for students. Sometimes, I organize workshops, webinars, seminars with many high-schools and universities in Vietnam to talk about the topics. The videos are in Vietnamese, so if you can understand the language, please check them out.

Classical Guitar

My dad bought me the first guitar when I was 14. It has been more than 15 years since then. I am self-taught (watch lessons from YouTube mostly) and have never been to any class, so my playing is kind-of free. I play classical and contemporary music.  Here are some photos of me playing the guitar and a video from 2015 of me playing my favourite Russian song - Million Scarlet Roses.

Sketching

I draw sometimes on various topics when I have moods. Below are some random photos I sketched with titled descriptions.

Poems

Here is an example of a poem I wrote recently on a gloomy Saturday afternoon when I passed by the Port Jackson Fig tree in Barangaroo, Sydney (Nov 2021).

There standing a lone tree

guarding the point

from the salvos of the sea.

The blue waves bent by wind and tide

There was a kiss under the sky

under the broad sun.

Their hearts lulled by the melody

of the lone tree by the sea.

There standing a lone man.

He seems not to care

nor jealous with the kiss in the air.

He doesn't want to hide

his solitude in melancholy pride.

Why? asked thee.

Cause when he closes his eyes,

all they can see

"You are me", said the lone tree.
